"Web Surfing Beats Sex And Friendship"

I think this might be true with our current trends nowadays where people who has access to the internet is always in the internet and already forgot the reality of physical presence like friendship and family. i felt the same thing that i wrote about this when davao experience a blackout the other day.

read more about this article.

More music sharing with MediaMaster

Yesterday i blogged about the newly stumbled-site: anywhere.fm. i'm not a man that is into music but i love listening into it and i'm not collecting nor reviewing them but only to give you a word that there are websites out there that you might be interested with.

when it comes to sound, i found this link in my comments "Online music with Anywhere.FM" a new music website to try.

MediaMaster.

If you’ve looked at MediaMaster in the last few days, you’ve noticed that we’ve updated the site again. The response to our MyRadio functionality has been just awesome, and we’ve decided to make it much easier to explore all the cool stations that people are creating.

On the home page, you’ll find a short list of radio stations that we think are worth checking out. You can play them right from the home page, or go check out more details. If you register, you can tune in to them with any internet radio tuner.

We’ve also released a radio directory page called “The MediaMaster Spotlight”. You can check out radio stations that people have put together. If you like them, be sure to leave them a “Thumbs Up”. You can check out the Spotlight here.

MediaMaster Spotlight

Finally, I’m really excited to tell you about our latest cool tool. We’ve just released MediaMaster Radio for Yahoo! widgets. We know people love their desktop widgets, and we wanted to give you a great way to connect MediaMaster with your desktop. You can install the widget from the Yahoo Widget Gallery here.

Incidentally, there’s some really cool stuff on MediaMaster Radio. Borisbolo has created a mind-bending station of musical mash-ups. Its currently my favorite. Check it out here.

where is YAHOO! today?

i don't know if the problem today was only in our cafe. we started today's business surprisingly without Yahoo!. we cannot browse Yahoo! websites and cannot login in through Yahoo Messenger either. Yahoo! is one of the most popular website in our cafe and so the YM when it comes to internet messaging.

we called PLDT's attention because we did nothing and ask them if this is problem to them. they responded that there has been calls reporting that they cannot browse the site also.

so i really don't know where the problem lies. but at exactly 4:30pm today, Yahoo! can now be browse and so the Yahoo messenger also... :)

we lost almost some of our clients because they cannot check their emails. :)

Something new for images: Blogger Play!

I like pictures and i like it in my desktop changing from time to time. i even have my macbook desktop pictures changes every 5 seconds. the pictures were all my collections of the photos that i like. i even have desklickr that connects to flickr and grab images to use for my wallpaper. this only means that i go crazy with good and high resolution images.

and so with these new one from blogger, i like this. :)

Shortly after Blogger launched photo uploading two years ago, one of our engineers whipped up a web page that would show us the pictures that were being uploaded in real time. The result was fun, often beautiful, but above all, compelling. We couldn’t stop watching.

Blogger play

http://play.blogger.com

all the images that streams were the fresh pictures that were uploaded to blogger by their authors at real time. :) isn't it good that you don't have to browse each blog just to look for images. details of the images are included to each streaming, so if you want more of the info about the images, you can look and read the blog for that image. :)

great job!

Great to have a confidential beta of a great software company

I'm just very grateful and happy after downloading a confidential release of a software. It's like you were given a chance to know what will come in the future. i don't want to disclose nor give any clue about this software because i'm not directly connected to this company. but this software was already a part of my computer addictions ever since. actually this is the first program that i'd got very passioned about and was challenged to do what i couldn't.

it's a rare opportunity to use this software. with respect to the person that gave me access even to his beta account, this will just be for myself. this has not yet came out to any download section nor torrent websites because you can only download this given the access to it. :)

i will give this a try :) because i always dream that i can be the first to know.

Google Docs: Presentation beta ALIVE!

nothing to say about this. but if you know MS Powerpoint, then you will know already how this google webapp may look like. just got this new today, Google Presentation is now under your Google docs.

Starting today, presentations -- whether imported from existing files or created using the new slide editor -- are listed alongside documents and spreadsheets in the Google Docs document list. They can be edited, shared, and published using the familiar Google Docs interface, with several collaborators working on a slide deck simultaneously, in real time. When it's time to present, participants can simply click a link to follow along as the presenter takes the audience through the slideshow. Participants are connected through Google Talk and can chat about the presentation as they're watching. Not wanting anyone to feel left out, we've made the presentation feature available in 25 languages; Google Apps customers can also access it as part of Google Docs.

if you may want to try it, you should have an account with google. i do have, so i did tried it.

the only thing that is missing from the famous MS Powerpoint are the slide animation. That's understandable at this moment.

here is what i did:

Google Docs: Presentation

Online diagram editor

This two webapps works like the MS Visio without the hassle of installing in your harddrives.

Gliffy Online: Gliffy allows you to create many types of diagrams such as Flowcharts, UI wireframes, Floor plans, Network diagrams, UML diagrams, or any other simple drawing or diagram. Gliffy Online brings you a familiar desktop application feel in a web browser. Features such as copy, paste and undo are all a part of this advanced web application.

Gliffy Online has two ways to make document sharing simple. Collaboration enables others to see and edit your work by simply entering their email address. Publishing creates a read-only, or public, image of your diagram that you can easily embed in a wiki, blog, or other type of web software.

Best4c: Best4c(Best for chart) is a Web-based, online diagram tool that allows you to create, edit and share charts anytime, anywhere. It allows you to create many types of diagrams such as Flowcharts, Floor plans, Network diagrams, or any other simple drawing or diagram.

i havn't tried this out, maybe soon if i have to rush doing diagrams.

Silverlight, a FLASH/AJAX competitor?

i don't know what to say about this but i did gave a try out of curiosity after stumbling this app from microsoft.

this is how microsoft would say about this new app they have:

Microsoft® Silverlight™ is a cross-browser, cross-platform plug-in for delivering the next generation of .NET based media experiences and rich interactive applications for the Web. Silverlight offers a flexible programming model that supports AJAX, VB, C#, Python, and Ruby, and integrates with existing Web applications. Silverlight supports fast, cost-effective delivery of high-quality video to all major browsers running on the Mac OS or Windows.

after downloading it, installed and restarting firefox (i hate restarting a browser, but thanks to firefox which gives me always an options to restore visited sites) a tried it. what you gonna think i would do?

i went to its website Silverlight and tried some showcase. hmmmm... interesting, because i thought i still have my flash menu when i right-click the mouse. not anymore because it's just one menu: SilverLight configuration. This is not flash really. i'm just making sure it isn't flash. it works the same as of the adobe flash plugins.

i tried technation.com.my. and bang, again it ask for a plugin. so downloaded a silverlight alpharefresher. installed the same way like my first installation of the plugin and of course restart again. :) grrrr....

all i can say, go on. at least there's something new that is happening especially an application like flash that has no competitor for so long time. :)

nice one!

Photoshop Online is !COMING!

not yet unveiled to the public but i think they are getting all their apps online. I blogged about the YouTube Remixes and it is powered by Adobe and now they are putting the most famous Image editing to the web.

I just found this blog that reveals a screenshot of the upcoming webapp.

Online music with Anywhere.FM

i just found this website while looking for good and rare music in the net.

before i like it with pandora, but due to country restriction any computer outside the US can't get it through, or maybe i don't know... :) but philippines is
restricted to it. :)

Anywhere.Fm screenshot

anyway, this website is pretty cool. registering is very easy. the first registration that don't ask anymore but only a username and password that you wanted. it's like that you are only logging in.

still in its beta stage, the interface is simple if you know what iTunes is. because it looks like iTunes. it is made of flash.

very simple and goes with its name, anywhere? why? because you can upload your music and listen to it anywhere as long as you have your connection.

the uploading is very simple and fast. :) very straightforward concept. :) uploading supports .mp3 files only. i like to upload mine, but most collections i have is with iTunes and wmv. :( but, hey i can do some converting. :). soon i will be uploading mine and the link will be: http://anywhere.fm/dennesabing

try it. www.anywhere.fm.

powerless, waterless Davao....

Whew.. what a day!

I wake up today with no water and electricity. but thanks God that we have some water saved if anything goes wrong with water. the water was saved since saturday when the schedule maintenance happen. but today it isn't scheduled. more worst, we don't have electricity too!....

the power came in the morning, so i decided to just take a bath and go to the cafe. unfortunately, the power just gone out.. :( sad..... but after a long wait, it came back. Thanks God! so we can do our business. however after 30 minutes, power went out again and again and again and again... 5 times!

im so worried if this will happen so often that will give problems to our computer and so to our airconditioning unit. So we decided to just close the cafe and went home and plan that we will go to beach, but we didn't make it.

Im not a mall type of person. When we went home, the mall is full and some are just waiting outside. its a filipino thinking, window shopping for a free aircon!

anyway, i like this moment when you are with you housemates just talking. because all of us works, but when power goes wrong, we just hang out together teasing and eating together... :)

for business, its bad. whatever goes wrong, i like today!

hehehehe...

now there is power, and all of us at the house just grab everyone's laptop and computer. just think of it. it gadgets get us closer it separate us also.

i miss this moment also hanging out outside the house, just thinking of ideas what to do, under the mango tree with my laptop and the wifi around. i miss this because some ideas and works happen under this tree. :)

i wish water and electricity will not go wrong together, again. :) we just pray because we realized how precious our resources are.

:) pictures with my niece and nephew hanging outside the house. :)

that level up game again...

been so long since i stopped playing MU.

But just this week i played again with a new one from levelup games: Perfect world. I just want to see what this game got to see. i found it boring, i got up to level 23 and its because im the only one in the cafe that plays it while others are into flying: FLYFF... so i turned into flying, i got some friends who boosted me and in just 6 hours of playing (total hours) that i got tp level 20.

So here i am again with my sick head starting everytime i play game. im not into gaming anyway, but its fun sometimes to be with friends wrestling with monster. my friends who played in the cafe are all high level players already. I just want to be with them. i just want to enjoy and bond :)

thats friendship.

Estrada guilty...

I don' have a lot of news items that really covers why he was convicted guilty of plunder and acquitted for perjury. The only thing i know was that he was impeached because of the said accusations also.

But what is this for me or my little opinion for this issue?

For me, he committed crime. I believe in our justice system in this magnitude of case especially if you are convicting 1 of the person who hold an office in the highest position of the land. But was justice really served? I'm not sure of that. All i know is that our current president right now was one who led the his impeachment. Was there really something in the behind that is happening?

President Estrada is President GMA's rival in all things. I will say. Im pro Erap. I like him. I don't know why. I always vote for candidates that Erap endorse because i believe in him. Yes, i've heard of the accusations and of the money involves, still i believe in him. But at least he faced the trial rather than forgetting the issue. Hello Garci! He is a brave person rather than saying "SORRY" that means nothing and just plastic covering. God knows who is damned.

Anyway. As a Filipino, he should face whatever consequences he has for what has done. Whether he likes it or not, he is still be facing the judgment seat in the eternal court. And so we are. And so those people who convicted him. And so President GMA.

God knows what they do and God knows that justice will be given to them.

The only prayers that i want to say to God with this issue is comfort for the family of erap and even to himself. I wish that he can serve his sentence even before he will die. He will be 110 years old already that time.

We wish you erap. We might now know. But God knows.
